Simona Siciliani

Simona joined Portolano Cavallo in 2024.

She focuses on corporate transaction for Italian and foreign investors and companies, with a focus on the Life Sciences-Healthcare. She has worked on a range of domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions.

She also assists clients with strategic operational issues, such as in in corporate governance and commercial contracts, drafting and negotiation of public supply and service contracts, distribution, leasing, agency, supply, and licensing agreements. Most of this work is in the context of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, clinical trial reports, etc.

Simona worked as in-house counsel for a well-known Italian fashion house and spent a period of secondment with the Italian subsidiary of a Japanese multinational in the bio-chemical sector.

She graduated from the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan in 2017 and has two diplomas from the ISPI in Milan, one in European affairs and the other in Geopolitics in International Cooperation.

She is currently completing an LLM in international business and company law at King’s College, London.

Simona has authored a number of articles and publications in sector newsletters and magazines and served as executive editor of Bocconi Legal Papers (the law review of the School of Law of the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi).

Before joining the firm she worked with Italian and international law firms.
