Giulio Novellini

Throughout his professional career, Giulio has assisted national and international companies with litigation and compliance issues related to Personal Data Protection.

He has acquired particular experience in advising clients in matters concerning websites, apps, online compliance relating to the use of cookies, the processing of data for marketing, Ecommerce, the foreign use of personal data and violations of personal data.

Giulio supports clients by providing legal advice, privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default, evaluation of impact on privacy and audits. He also deals with the application of new technologies in Life Sciences-Healthcare, Fintech and Insurtech as well as their respective consequences on the processing of personal data.

Giulio is ranked by Legal 500 EMEA 2024 as a “Next Generation Partner” for Data Privacy and Data Protection and he is “Recommended” by Who’s Who Legal in the Data 2024 guide (“Data Privacy & Protection”) and in the Italy 2023  guide (“Data”).

In 2006, he graduated in law from the Università degli Studi di Parma and in 2010 from the Catholic University of Ávila.

He is author and co-author of various articles and publications on Personal Data Protection and the use of new technologies that have appeared in national newspapers and journals.

Giulio is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Through IAPP, he has obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification.

He has also obtained the “Expert European Privacy Auditor / Lead Auditor” certification for the ISDP©10003 certification scheme.
