On October 28th, 2019, the Italian Communication Authority (AGCOM) published on its website resolution no. 421/19/CONS, launching a public consultation on the amendments to the regulation[1] governing content and investment obligations concerning EU works and works produced by independent producers[2]. The regulation had been adopted by resolution no. 595/19/CONS, as amended by resolution no. 24/19/CONS.
The amendments reflect the latest modifications introduced by Law Decree no. 59/2019 (the so-called “Culture Decree”, which was later converted into Law no. 81/2019) reported here.
Stakeholders and interested parties shall submit any observation on the said amendments within November 27th, 2019; a hearing may be requested by November 17th, 2019.
