The ASLAWOMEN Equal Opportunities Award recognizes law firm’s best practices and diversity initiatives
Portolano Cavallo won the ASLAWOMEN Equal Opportunities Award 2016.
The award was created by ASLA – Business Law Firms Association – in 2014 to identify best practices and diversity initiatives adopted by law firms: this year, the award has been given to Portolano Cavallo ex aequo with Clifford Chance law firm.
In conferring the award, ASLA declared that Portolano Cavallo stood out for the transparency of its policies.
In Portolano Cavallo career paths – bonus criteria, compensation increases, transition to the next category, profit sharing – and non-discrimination and diversity policies are formalized and accessible to all the members of the Firm.
ASLA also recognized that in Portolano Cavallo these diversity policies have been reflected into concrete initiatives to promote diversity: events, creation of internal networks, and more.

The ASLAWOMEN Equal Opportunities Award 2016 was conferred on March13 on the occasion of the ASLA Council, one week after the recognition by Best Workplaces Italy 2017, awarded to Portolano Cavallo – first and only law firm in Italy – as an excellent working environment in the Great Place to Work® Italy ranking.
