Enzo has more than fifteen years of experience advising national and international firms on complex matters, mostly involving dispute resolution, related to national and EU and competition, merger control, single market freedoms, and regulated activities in a range of economic sectors with strong connections to the digital space, namely the areas of digital, media & technology, Internet & ecommerce, artificial intelligence and IoT, entertainment, life sciences, fashion & luxury, and automotive.

Enzo frequently represents international clients before the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), the Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM), the European Commission, and national and EU courts, developing and defending their arguments in public and private antitrust and regulatory enforcement proceedings and to solicit advocacy measures.

He focuses on the intersection between intellectual property/copyright and EU and competition law, and between sector regulation of economic activities and EU and competition law. He has also developed consolidated experience in advising on complex merger control issues and in multijurisdictional notification mechanisms and procedures, dealing with national and EU filings and coordinating with local counsel for multijurisdictional filings. Enzo also has significant expertise advising on the application of the Italian Foreign Direct Investment regime (FDI).

Another area of focus is addressing competition law and regulatory issues in the sports field (particularly in connection to licensing of audiovisual rights, statutory rules of sports federations, and economic activities related to sports), the events and ticketing industry, telecommunications and energy.

Moreover, he has wide-ranging experience in commercial private litigation, consumer affairs, data protection, the Digital Market Act (DMA) and the Digital Services Act (DSA).

Before joining Portolano Cavallo, Enzo collaborated, among others, with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliff in Brussels and BonelliErede, in Brussels and Milan.

Enzo was awarded a Law Degree in 2003 and a post-graduate diploma in 2004 National and EU Competition Law, both by Università degli Studi di Milano.
