By means of the Law Decree No. 162 of 2019, passed into Law no. 8 of 2020, the lawmakers postponed the entry into force of the new class action to October 19, 2020, instead of the original starting date of April 19, 2020.
Thus, until October 19, 2020, the relevant provisions are not effective, and the current class action rules, provided for by Section 140-bis of the Consumers Code, keep applying.
